How to utilize an old smartphone as a CCTV ?

Hi guys , we change our smartphone regularly to keep up with the latest technology , almost forgetting our old device which lie in our almirah for years . Not even realizing that it can be used in variety of things , So lets today make a CCTV camera out of our old mobile phone in a unique way . Lets get started :

Overview:

We will simply download an application in our old mobile phone and in the mobile where we want to see the live view . We can cast the live view in many smartphone simultaneously. So lets get started with the requirements:

How can we use a camera ?

  • Sometimes we feel the need of at least one camera in our home or office . To keep a watch at our workers or on the main door of our house .
  • The CCTV cameras setup is too costly .
  • While going out of town for some days , you can easily view your home or office just in a click of action .

What do we need ?

  • Obviously an old working smartphone at least with a back camera with its charger.
  • Another smartphone to view the live preview of your old mobile.
  • Active internet or WiFi in both devices.

Steps:

  • First of all we need to take out our old smartphone and download an application called Alfred camera in it by pressing on this link AlfredCameraApp . Simultaneously download and install the same app on your smartphone through which you will use see live view of the camera . If somehow link do not work you can also search for the app in play-store .


Download this in your both devices
  • Now after installing it , you have to sign in both devices using the same gmail id .And you can select from the app that which devices to be used as a camera or viewer .
                         


  •  If you want to see live view in more than one devices then simply download the app into the device and login via the same gmail id through which you have login in your camera (old smartphone)..
  • Now you are done almost . Just place your old smartphone at desired location with the charger plugged in always and connected to a WiFi , you can watch the live view of your camera at any place .
